Disney’s Lorcana is taking the trading card game community by storm, but many players may be unsure of how to even start with a completely new game and ruleset. That’s where Starter Decks come in, prebuilt decks offering a balanced and easy to understand playstyle. Ravensburger has provided players with three different Starter Deck options to choose from, each providing a different playstyle and a whole host of new cards. They are also one of the few ways to get guaranteed cards in the game as of now since booster packs are random by nature.
Building a deck in Disney Lorcana is simple enough, but building a good deck can be somewhat challenging. That’s why it’s so nice to have these starter decks to see what works and what doesn’t. Naturally, players can build on and modify the Starter Decks as they collect more cards, or use their new knowledge to make a new deck from scratch using some of the cards in the Starter Decks.
What is a Starter Deck?
A Disney Lorcana Starter Deck is a 60 card deck made up of preset cards. Each Starter Deck also comes with a booster pack, providing 12 more random cards of varying rarity. There are three Starter Decks available at present, each of which representing two of Disney Lorcana‘s six Ink types. The options for Starter Decks are Amethyst and Amber, Emerald and Ruby, or Sapphire and Steel. These each have unique cards and playstyles for players to experiment with. Below is a list of the exact cards in each Starter Deck.

What Do These Cards Do?
For players that want a more in depth look at what each card in all three Starter Decks does, the best thing to do is download the official Disney Lorcana companion app. It has a catalog of every card from the first chapter, and even allows players to build decks on the app. The decks above are all sorted the same way the app sorts cards by default, which should make it easier to create the Starter Decks in the app.
Disney Lorcana releases on August 18th.
